Austin came into Friday's game looking for another win against Bowie, but Rhys Moreno wouldn't allow it. The Bulldogs took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 34-7 victory over the Maroons with plenty of help from Moreno, who rushed for 206 yards and four scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 21 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Bowie's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 4.5 times. In that department, Cade Venable was the leader with 2.5 sacks. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11.

The win made it two in a row for Bowie and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 19 points in those games. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Bowie will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hutto at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Hippos have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests. As for Austin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 40-14 loss against Lake Travis on the 6th.
