Basketball Recap: Bronaugh Comes Up Short

Bronaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tournament Opponent. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tournament Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Bronaugh lost, don't look at Strauss Banes. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 19 en route to 19 points along with five boards and four steals. Banes' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Bowling, who posted 11 points.

Bronaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Bronaugh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-58 win against Sheldon on the 24th. Tournament Opponent has also already played their next game (against Sallisaw), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
