Football Game Preview: Legacy Christian Academy Eagles vs. St. Michael's Warriors

The Legacy Christian Academy Eagles will challenge the St. Michael's Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.6 points per game this season.

On Friday, Legacy Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 31-27 to Liberty Christian. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the loss, Legacy Christian Academy got top-tier performance from Jaxson Ladd, who rushed for 125 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and also picked up 42 receiving yards. Ladd has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Luke Lawrence, who threw for 201 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Michael's, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They pulled ahead with a 29-28 photo finish over Concordia Lutheran on Friday.

Legacy Christian Academy better keep an eye on Nico Anderson. He was instrumental in St. Michael's win, throwing for 212 yards and three touchdowns.

The win got St. Michael's back to even at 5-5. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their record is now 6-4.
