Basketball Recap: Leonard Comes Up Short

Leonard has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pottsboro Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since November 18, 2023.

Leonard's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-7. As for Pottsboro, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Gunter the next time they take the court. Leonard will host Gunter at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pottsboro will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
