Recap: Clark Chargers vs. Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles
The Clark Chargers waltzed into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Somerset Sky Pointe 85-33 at home. With Clark ahead 50-21 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for De'Shaun Tolever, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Werrason Bakindo, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Despite the defeat, Somerset Sky Pointe saw an underclassman step up: Emmitt Bell scored 18 points. Bell scored a full 54.5% of Somerset Sky Pointe's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Cory Gory was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Somerset Sky Pointe struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Clark pulled down 19.
Clark's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Clark will head out on the road to face off against Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, they will be playing at home against Doral Academy Red Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
