Softball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy Takes a Loss

If Andrew Jackson Academy was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Orangeburg Christian Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors lost 11-0 to the Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders on Monday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Andrew Jackson Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carrigan Moore, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Andrew Jackson Academy dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrew Jackson Academy will host Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Andrew Jackson Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, they will square off against Calhoun Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calhoun Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Jefferson Davis Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
