Softball Recap: Bartlett Find Success

Bartlett hadn't done well against Milano recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 9-6. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 13-3 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Alexis Castellanos was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jazayla Fisher, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bartlett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milano only posted an OBP of .440.

Bartlett's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Milano, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Bartlett will be taking part in a tournament against Thrall at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milano, they will take on Cedar Creek in a tournament on Saturday.
