Softball Recap: Dixie County Takes a Loss

Dixie County lost against Chiefland on March 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Dixie County came up short against Chiefland, falling 10-3. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dixie County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelyn Blevins, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Jaicee Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Dixie County's record is now 2-11. As for Chiefland, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-11 record.

Looking ahead, Dixie County will host Branford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Branford will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Dixie County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chiefland, they are taking a road trip to take on Bronson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chiefland's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bronson has averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
