Baseball Recap: Jackson North Side Takes a Loss

Jackson North Side lost against Lexington last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson North Side saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Doan, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Javonte Smith also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Jackson North Side's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Lexington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-13.

Coming up, Jackson North Side will welcome West Carroll at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday. The War Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lexington, they will head out to square off against Adamsville at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday.
