Brainerd had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tyner Academy Rams a 2-0 shutout. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Moises Garcia and Emmanuel Peace scored both of Brainerd's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Brainerd's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three games. As for Tyner Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
