The Epiphany School of Global Studies extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 5-8. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-65 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Carteret Mariners. Even if the Falcons couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

The Epiphany School of Global Studies' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Fitzgerald, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Lathan, who shot 42% from the field en route to 11 points.

As for East Carteret, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
