Softball Recap: Maple Mountain Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with South Sevier

Maple Mountain faced South Sevier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Golden Eagles fell 9-6 to the Rams.

McClain Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylee Robinson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Maple Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for South Sevier, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Maple Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-5 victory against Manti on the 12th. As for South Sevier, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-2 win against Duchesne on the 12th.
