Basketball Recap: Breanna Shaw Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Gulf Breeze

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Niceville, Navarre was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They took down the Gulf Breeze Dolphins 50-35. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-25 back in December of 2024.

Navarre got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Breanna Shaw out in front who posted nine points along with five boards and three steals. Those nine points gave Shaw a new career-high. Charlotte Moore also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Gulf Breeze lost, don't look at Genevieve Delapp. Despite the final result, she earned ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaia Seeley, who put up four points in addition to five boards and five steals.

With the win, Navarre broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Gulf Breeze, they are on a 22-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-23.

Navarre didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-41 victory against Pensacola Catholic on the 31st. Gulf Breeze has also already played their next game (against Milton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
