Basketball Recap: Greenbrier Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Greenbrier Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 59-18 takedown of Tidewater Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Portsmouth Christian Patriots an easy 57-32 victory. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Despite the loss, Greenbrier Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Luke Macdermod, who posted 11 points.

Greenbrier Christian Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Portsmouth Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Greenbrier Christian Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Granby at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Portsmouth Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Summit Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
