Soccer Game Preview: Arlington vs. Lake Stevens

The Arlington Eagles will take on the Lake Stevens Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Arlington was handed a eight-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Cascade 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Arlington were the better team in the second half.

Delfino Grimaldo and Brody Dalgaard scored both of Arlington's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Lake Stevens put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Jackson with a sharp 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Lake Stevens, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Lake Stevens' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six contests. As for Arlington, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8-2.
