Basketball Recap: Helena Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Helena had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Glacier Wolfpack 57-41 on Saturday. Given the Bengals' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 82nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was the third in a row for Helena, bringing their record for this year to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for Glacier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Coming up, Helena will face off against Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Butte will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Helena surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glacier, they will square off against Hellgate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hellgate is on a five-game streak of home wins, Glacier a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
