Basketball Recap: Wyoming Finds Home Court Redemption Against Roger Bacon

There's no place like home for Wyoming, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 50-35 victory over the Roger Bacon Spartans on Monday. The Cowboys have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Roger Bacon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Hasan, who posted eight points and seven rebounds. Gussie Hoffman was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win got Wyoming back to even at 2-2. As for Roger Bacon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyoming will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bethel-Tate at 1:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025. Roger Bacon will take on Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Roger Bacon surely won't give up without a fight.
