It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cheyenne Wells can now relate to. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stratton Eagles on Saturday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Mason Marriott threw for 137 yards and three TDs. Cory Hill was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and three scores. On the ground, Trey Scheler rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown.

Von Isenbart was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 43 yards and one TD, and also threw for 149 yards and one touchdown. Those 43 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Drew Fox helped out on the ground, rushing for 106 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Cheyenne Wells' loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Stratton, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Cheyenne Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stratton, they will take on Idalia at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
