Paso Robles is 8-2 against Pioneer Valley since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bearcats will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m.

Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The result came thanks to Ciena Acosta's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, Madelyn ?Mady? Llamas was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Paz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Paso Robles has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12-1 record this season. As for Pioneer Valley, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.
