Spanish Fort came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Madison Central Jaguars by a score of 2-0. The Toros have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Caroline Downey paced Spanish Fort's offense, picking up four kills. Downey got some help from Cailyn Boykin and her 14 assists. Harper Trucks and Olivia Downey kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Spanish Fort's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Madison Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

Looking ahead, Spanish Fort will square off against McAdory at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Madison Central, they will be taking part in a tournament against Homewood at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
