Soccer Recap: St. Stephens Takes a Loss

St. Stephens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Alexander Central Cougars. While losing is never fun, St. Stephens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Alexander Central are ranked 93rd).

St. Stephens' defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Alexander Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Stephens will challenge rival Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Alexander Central is set to square off against their familiar foe McDowell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
