Volleyball Recap: Horizon Takes a Loss

Horizon lost against Loretto back in August of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Scorpions fell just short of the Angels by a score of 2-1. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leilah Williams paced Horizon's offense, picking up six kills. Williams got some help from Casey Zambrano and her 12 assists. Zambrano also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lyla Short, racking up two apiece.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Horizon will take on San Elizario at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Loretto, they will square off against Chapin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
