Baseball Recap: Cedar Springs Comes Up Short

Cedar Springs was the 1-0 winner over Comstock Park when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Hawks took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Friday. The Red Hawks' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Cedar Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callen McCulloch, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. James Harroun also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cedar Springs' record now sits at 2-18. As for Comstock Park, they moved to 8-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While Cedar Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
