Volleyball Recap: Baptist Prep's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Baptist Prep suffered their biggest loss since September 9th on Thursday. They came up short against the Bauxite Miners, falling 3-0. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Baptist Prep was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Bauxite work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayla Midkiff, who had 13 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Lacey Dupas, who had nine digs and two aces.

Baptist Prep's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-12-1. As for Bauxite, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-9-3.

Baptist Prep has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Arkadelphia on the 20th. As for Bauxite, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Fountain Lake on the 20th.
