Volleyball Game Preview: Oldham County Colonels vs. St. Xavier Tigers

The Oldham County Colonels will challenge the St. Xavier Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Oldham County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Ryle, who was ranked fourth at the time (Oldham County was ranked eighth). The Colonels lost 3-0 to the Raiders on Saturday. The Colonels have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and St. Xavier had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Trinity on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on 26 straight.

St. Xavier's win came from a few key players Oldham County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Josh Walsh, who had 21 assists and seven digs.

St. Xavier's win bumped their record up to 26-1. As for Oldham County, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7-1.
