Baseball Recap: Placer Comes Up Short

Placer lost against Pleasant Grove back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Placer Hillmen fell 8-5 to the Pleasant Grove Eagles.

Devin Knight was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Placer's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pleasant Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Placer will welcome Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Placer's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Woodland's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pleasant Grove, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Davis Sr. at 3:30 p.m.
