Basketball Recap: Georgia Military College Comes Up Short

Georgia Military College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Lake Oconee Academy Titans and fell 63-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 54-23 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan McMillan, who posted six points and five rebounds. Those five rebounds gave McMillan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Carty, who earned seven points and three steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Oconee Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Canon Mullen, who put up 16 points along with six steals and five boards. James Wright was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six assists and three steals.

Georgia Military College's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lake Oconee Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Georgia Military College didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-40 defeat against Aquinas on the 14th. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-52 victory against Towns County on the 14th.
