Volleyball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Emmanuel Christian Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Mya Lawrence. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Miami Valley Rams on Monday for which the team can thank Lawrence, who had 11 digs and five aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Emmanuel Christian Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-9, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Emmanuel Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pheoby Hamastra, who had seven digs and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Hamastra a new career-high.

Emmanuel Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive matches.

Emmanuel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Miami Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emmanuel Christian Academy will host Legacy Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miami Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Calvary Christian at 7:15 p.m. The Rams are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
