Creede came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Custer County, but Hayden Hampton wouldn't allow it. The Bobcats came out on top against the Miners by a score of 33-25 on Saturday for which the team can thank Hampton, who almost dropped a triple-double with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and nine steals. She has become a key player for Custer County: the team is 8-3 when she posts at least five steals, but 2-9 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Marin Foster, who posted four points in addition to ten boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Several Miners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava Anderson, who put up seven points along with five rebounds and five steals. Lucy Brittain was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Custer County's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Creede, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Custer County will face off against Merino at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for Creede, they will challenge Briggsdale at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
