Softball Game Preview: White County Warriors vs. Upperman Bees

The White County Warriors will face off against the Upperman Bees at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. White County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, White County didn't have quite enough to beat Stone Memorial and fell 4-3.

Addison Howell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Upperman was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 4-0 to Livingston Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Bees in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

White County's record now sits at 9-17. As for Upperman, their record is now 7-13.

Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. White County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Upperman struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

White County was able to grind out a solid victory over Upperman when the teams last played back in April, winning 10-5. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Bees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
