Leo beats East Noble for their seventh straight win

Recap: Leo Lions vs. East Noble Knights

The Leo Lions had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past East Noble 45-42. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

Leo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylar Decker out in front who threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Dearious Carter, who rushed for 188 yards while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.

Despite the defeat, East Noble had strong showings from Zander Brazel, who threw for 309 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt, and Dylan Krehl, who gained 172 total yards and three touchdowns. Krehl's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards.

Leo's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.3 points per game. As for East Noble, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.

Leo will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. East Noble does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
