Softball Recap: Hackensack Comets vs. Ridgefield Park Scarlets
Hackensack had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their rough 15-4 defeat to the Ridgefield Park Scarlets on Monday might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hackensack in their matchups with Ridgefield Park: they've now lost three in a row.
Briana Darling was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Marissa Dooley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Hackensack will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Passaic County Tech at 4:15 p.m. As for Ridgefield Park, they will head out on the road to take on Pascack Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
