Basketball Recap: Greenway Extends Winning Streak to Three

If Cactus wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Greenway, they should've done a better job of containing Ramsie Hoil. The Greenway Demons blew past the Cactus Cobras, posting a 68-16 victory thanks in part to Hoil, who posted 13 points and eight boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyne Cordero, who had four points in addition to nine rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

The win (which was Greenway's third in a row) raised their record to 4-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Cactus, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Greenway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-36 defeat against Agua Fria on the 11th. As for Cactus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-5 loss against Bradshaw Mountain on the 12th.
