Volleyball Game Preview: St. John's Prep Eagles vs. Malden Tornados

The St. John's Prep Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Malden Tornados at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.

St. John's Prep is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Methuen just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rangers, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Malden, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Lynn English on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Tornados haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Malden's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for St. John's Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Everything went St. John's Prep's way against Malden in their previous meeting back in June of 2023, as St. John's Prep made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
