Basketball Recap: West Orange Beats Ridgewood for Their Fourth Straight Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Orange walked away with it. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Ridgewood Maroons on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Mountaineers, who have now won four matchups in a row.

West Orange was led to victory by Rhyan Watt and Anaya Karriem. Watt posted 16 points and eight steals, while Karriem dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Watt's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyley Gary-Grayson, who earned five points along with five assists and five boards.

West Orange's victory bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Ridgewood, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6.

Looking ahead, West Orange will face off against Morristown on Saturday. One thing working in West Orange's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. Ridgewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
