Putnam County posted their closest victory since March 29th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Fieldcrest Knights 4-3. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Putnam County and bumps their season record up to 14-2. As for Fieldcrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Putnam County will take on Dwight at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fieldcrest, they will square off against Tremont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Turks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
