Fluvanna County took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Orange County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Flying Flucos came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fighting Hornets on Monday, sneaking past 3-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Flying Flucos' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Fluvanna County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Orange County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Fluvanna County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orange County, they will challenge Western Albemarle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
