Basketball Game Preview: Medina Christian Academy Knights vs. Cornerstone Christian Patriots

Medina Christian Academy is 0-4 against Cornerstone Christian since December of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Medina Christian Academy Knights will look to defend their home court against the Cornerstone Christian Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

Last Saturday, Medina Christian Academy came up short against Valley Christian and fell 51-40. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 671st, while the Eagles are ranked 290th).

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian entered their tilt with Andrews Osborne Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Phoenix 78-56. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Cornerstone Christian has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.6 points per game. As for Medina Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Medina Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Cornerstone Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 71-56. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cornerstone Christian's Quinn Kwasniak, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 11 boards.
