Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 8-17. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Suwannee Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 back in February.

As for Suwannee, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Suwannee's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Greene, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run. Ty Moses was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Looking ahead, Santa Fe will face off against Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tornadoes will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. Suwannee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
