Nowata has gone 7-2 against Pawhuska recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Nowata Ironmen will take on the Pawhuska Huskies at 2:30 p.m. Nowata is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Last Friday, Nowata earned a 49-37 win over Caney Valley. Given the Ironmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Trojans are ranked 401st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pawhuska walked away with it. They skirted past the Wildcats 51-48.

Nowata's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Pawhuska, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season.

Nowata couldn't quite finish off Pawhuska in their previous meeting back in February of 2020 and fell 58-55. Can Nowata avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
