Volleyball Game Preview: Leland Chargers vs. Independence 76ers

The Leland Chargers are taking a road trip to square off against the Independence 76ers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Leland, who comes in off a win.

Leland not only won two weeks ago, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024. They put the hurt on Evergreen Valley with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Leland might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Evergreen Valley scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Westmoor.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Leland, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Leland couldn't quite get it done against Independence in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
