Basketball Recap: Chief Kitsap Academy Takes a Loss

Chief Kitsap Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Neah Bay Red Devils and fell 74-28. The Bears were probably out for revenge after losing 66-25 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Makyah Chambers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Neah Bay, going 9 for 11 on his way to 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Daniel Cumming also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

Chief Kitsap Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Neah Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Chief Kitsap Academy has already played their next game, a 74-67 win against Clallam Bay on the 16th. As for Neah Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-42 victory against Crescent on the 17th.
