Basketball Game Preview: Sneads Pirates vs. Paxton Bobcats

Sneads is 0-3 against Paxton since December of 2014 but things could change on Tuesday. The Sneads Pirates will welcome the Paxton Bobcats at 6:45 p.m.

Sneads is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a hard 57-39 fall against Blountstown. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Tigers are ranked 293rd).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mekhi Mcleod, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Lawrence, who had nine points.

West Florida Baptist Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Paxton proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 42-31 win over the Conquerors.

Paxton found their leader in freshman Cade Stewart, who put up 12 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Stewart a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wade Borgesen, who posted three points and seven steals.

Paxton's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Sneads, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
