Soccer Game Preview: Valparaiso vs. Hobart

The Valparaiso Vikings will challenge the Hobart Brickies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Valparaiso is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Valparaiso is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Chesterton 2-1. That's two games straight that Valparaiso have won by just one goal.

Jack Luth was the driving force of Valparaiso's attack as he scored both of Valparaiso's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Hobart got the win against Kankakee Valley on Tuesday by a conclusive 4-1. Hobart haven't had any issues with Kankakee Valley recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Hobart now has a winning record of 8-7-2. As for Valparaiso, their record now sits at 12-2-2.

Everything went Valparaiso's way against Hobart in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Valparaiso made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Brickies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
