Basketball Recap: Soroco Comes Up Short

Soroco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 76-6 defeat at the hands of the Sanford Mustangs. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Soroco's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sanford, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Soroco will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rangely at 4:00 p.m. on January 11, 2025. As for Sanford, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sierra Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Grande will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Sanford surely won't give up without a fight.
