Atlantic Coast won the last time they faced Hilliard and things went their way on Thursday too. Atlantic Coast was the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over Hilliard. The Stingrays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Connor Newman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Atlantic Coast let Anthony Selejan and Aramis Pabon run wild. Selejan scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Pabon got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Pabon has posted since March 5th. Another player making a difference was Noah Prudencio, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Atlantic Coast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hilliard only posted a batting average of .167.

Atlantic Coast pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Hilliard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Atlantic Coast will be playing in front of their home fans against Sandalwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
