Baseball Recap: Carroll Cougars vs. Wabash Apaches
While Carroll's victory against Wabash wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Apaches on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since April 18, 2024.
Xavier Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Landon Hammond was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Travis Tinsman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
