Volleyball Preview: Bureau Valley Storm vs. Alleman Pioneers
Bureau Valley has been away from home for five games now, but on Saturday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Alleman Pioneers at 12:00 p.m.
Last Wednesday, Bureau Valley came up short against Wethersfield and fell 2-0.
The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16.
Meanwhile, Alleman entered their tilt with East Moline United on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Panthers.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-21.
Alleman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashlyn Sullivan, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Sullivan has posted since back in October of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Wood, who had nine digs and two aces.
Bureau Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Alleman, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
