Basketball Recap: Sidney Comes Up Short

Sidney lost against Shenandoah back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sidney Cowboys fell 62-50 to the Shenandoah Mustangs.

Sidney has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Shenandoah, they moved to 1-1 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sidney and Fremont-Mills will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Sidney is facing Fremont-Mills at the right time seeing as Fremont-Mills is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Shenandoah, they and Nebraska City will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Shenandoah will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Nebraska City will have lost three straight heading into Friday's contest.
