Danny Mercado's Big Game Leads Casa Grande over Justin-Siena

Starting off the list is Casa Grande's Danny Mercado, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mercado threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Justin-Siena had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Mercado it was a similar story. When Mercado last faced the Braves back in October of 2023, he threw for 182 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes.

American Canyon Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Mason Harris

Mason Harris's big game helped extend American Canyon's winning streak to seven on Friday. Harris wasn't messing around, rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 68 yards and a touchdown. The game was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.

American Canyon's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Harris and American Canyon will face off against Napa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lopez Made His Presence Known in American Canyon's 41-21 Victory

Andre Lopez was instrumental in extending American Canyon's winning streak to seven on Friday. Petaluma had no answer to Lopez as he rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Lopez's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Lopez is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Napa on Friday. When Lopez last faced the Grizzlies back in October of 2023, he rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.

A Season-Best Performance from Ronan Curley Leads Casa Grande over Justin-Siena

Ronan Curley produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Casa Grande to the win on Friday. Curley rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 48 receiving yards.

This season, Curley has averaged 20.7 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.29 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 47.57 rushing yards.
